Not sure what’s happening this week but it feels like the hardest 2 runs so far! I have serious doubts about the longer runs coming up!? I thought it would get a bit easier! Help!!!!! 😳

Sounds like you are doing great! I’m not where you are but if I’ve noticed one thing from this forum the advice to anyone struggling is SLOW DOWN!!

I’m sure lots of more experienced people will give you proper advice. Stick at it. Good luck! 😀

I felt exactly the same after my W6R2 yesterday. Others in the forum have said that things settle when we move on to the longer, continuous runs and can get into a rhythm.

Good luck and keep going! Look forward to hearing how you get on.

Slow down and really relax into these longer run..let the new running legs begin to find their happy pace... Up your rest day exercise too.. stamina and strength need to keep pace with the running legs:)

I found w6r2 OK, but noted Oldfloss’s comment above - I am doing a lot of additional exercise on top of the C25k runs. E.g today was a “rest day”and after a round of golf and a walk this evening (just checked) I’ve done 19,000 steps today. Maybe that’s making the runs that bit easier for me.

Search for w6 and you’ll find lots of people on a high from w5 struggling in w6r1&2. Don’t be downhearted. Stick to the basics that have got you this far. Take a little off your pace again and relax into r3. It’s just a bit longer than w5r3 and you obviously cracked that one. Chin up! You’ve got this.

Don't worry, these Week 6 runs are the two longest runs you have done so far! Remember you have walking intervals in amongst the running so you are still moving for longer each time...

You will be ready for R3, start nice and slowly and stay slow. Trust the program...it works!😊x
