Today I have finished my 1st week of C25K. and I am truely proud of myself. 5 months ago I quit smoking (2 packs a day) and alcohol (3-4 times a week). I gave time to my body to recover a bit and last Friday I have started the program and as I said today I have finished the 3rd run of the 1st week in a relavitely comfortable fashion. I was so scared, backed off before the first run. Because I thought I may faint, because I thought I am overweight (180cm - 100kg), because I thought I may have a heart attack. But everything was in my head and it was easier than I actually thought. I have combined this exercise with a healthy diet and things are going pretty good for me so far. There are two reasons for me to be here, for me to be writing this right now. First reason is; before C25K was just an idea in my head, I was making a lot of search and trying to find scared people like me and see and read about their experiences to encourage myself to start with this, so I have decided to write this in reference to people who are scared to start because of similar reason like I had. My second reason is to meet with you guys so hello everybody.
Well done Godric! What achievements you've made - you must be so proud of yourself. I am watching my husband with pride as he goes through the agonies of quitting smoking, it's no mean feat! Good luck with the rest of the C25K program!
