Hi, I’m 54 years old and just completed week 5 of C25K. Hoping to complete the course and be a regular runner by my 55th Birthday in a few weeks time. Never thought I’d get this far so surprising myself!

Very well done...keep it steady and keep it slow as you move into the longer runs and don't forget to up your rest day stamina and strength exercises too:)

Me too! Just done W5R3. I’m almost 54 but encouraged by the fact that loads of graduates are in their 50s. Also a friend thundered past whilst I was doing my usual impersonation of a snail on a cold day. He’s in his 70s..... we can do this 😊

Thanks, I’m sure we can! I couldn’t believe I could do 20 minutes after just 5 weeks.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

The guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

This is the best birthday present you can give yourself.

Enjoy your journey.

Well done. Just be careful with W6 - it looks easy compared to W5R3 but it can bite.
