Hi 👋🏻

Newbie here. Just completed week 1 run 3. I’ve attempted it a few times but only got as far as run 1 haha! Pleased to have finished the first week, nervous about the second! But will try my best. Prepping for race for life 5k in July! Nothing like leaving it to the last minute!

Welcome PixLau and well done for getting to the end of week 1 this time. Keep each run slow and steady you'll be fine. The plan is brilliant and it works. You'll be very well prepared for 5he Race for Life in July. Good luck and enjoy your running

Well done, stick with the programme and you'll easily be running for 30 minutes solid by your race for life in July. It might not be the full 5k but it will be a long way towards it!

Thankyou I am looking forward to see how far I can go, I don’t think it’s possible to run full speed at the venue anyway as it’s all under trees and there’s hundreds of other runners etc so hopefully I’ll manage the majority of it 😊

Welcome. Great job on week 1... that’s the toughest week done. Run slowly at a conversational pace and you have no need to fear the steps up at any point in the plan, your body will be ready.

Race for life is a great goal for you... you should be about ready to run it all, if not you’ll find there are others walking some of it, so if you’re running 4K by then there’s really no need to push to 5 just because it’s an event. By next years race for life you’ll find 5k easy too!

Enjoy your journey.

Thankyou! I am just glad that I can run for a minute right now so anything more than that going forward I will be really pleased. I haven’t ran ever before so it’s all very exciting 💕

Soon it will be hard to remember when you didn’t run. Read your profile and you did some great prep work... congratulations on those 25 too! If you can do that, this is easier!
