I’m really struggling with one of the 5 minute runs on week 4. I can do one but not the other! Feeling a bit defeated!! Any advice?
Update: still struggling with Wk4 run 3. Hit a hill about 3 mins into the first five mins and had to walk up the hill. Managed the last five fine 🙂 do you reckon I should repeat the week?

Are you running slowly enough? Sometimes it’s tempting to be too enthusiastic at the start of each run and then you run out of puff! I had a melt down in W4 R3 and the advice received here got me through:
Go slower than you think possible.
Relax shoulders and enjoy the view.
Fix your thoughts on a spot just beyond where you think you’ll be at the end of 5 mins.
Play motivational music loud in your headphones! Or download a really gripping podcast...just something to take your mind off your breathing/tired legs/knee creaks/etc.
And if you can’t complete a run don’t worry - just view it as valuable stamina practice and try it again.
