Hi, doing my week one, run 1 this afternoon with my husband. I'm 45 and he's 43 and neither of us have run before. Wish us luck!

Hi, I’m 59 and thought I couldn’t do it. Yet here I am starting Week 5 tonight. I’ve found the support on this forum amazing. So just get out there and do it!

I’m 54 and I have just done W8R3! You will be absolutely fine just go slowly. It will be nice to have someone to chat to while you run 😃

You'll ace it! W1 R1 feels like a bit of a shock to the system but you'll soon be hooked on the program and the feeling you get after each run. Its all achievable if you find the slowest pace that you are comfortable with and keep 'shuffling' on. So many (including myself) go too fast to start with but soon settle in to a slow jogging pace. Good luck to you both, not that you'll need it! Let us know how you get on xx

Hope it went well. If you can both chat while you're running then you'll have found the right effort level/pace. Key thing will be not to compete with each other (at least not in the early days). You pocked a nice day for it too! :-)
