It was on my mind all day but i did it! I took my own advice and slowed right down. I had to smile when i saw a couple strolling ahead of me and i made no progress in catching them up! πŸ˜‚

Well done! It’s a milestone run and hopefully gives you a confidence boost into the rest of the plan. It certainly has for me. I start w6r1 on Thursday. Good luck!

Obviously they were Olympic speed strollers! Quite soon you will remember them has you catch up & overtake others.πŸ˜€

Very well done! That run is such a milestone- more for your brain than your legs. πŸ˜„

Congratulations! I’m following the programme with my daughter and we do our W5 R3 tomorrow. The prospect is pretty daunting so I’ll follow your advice and slow it down (even more, which is already very slow!! 🐌) Good luck with week 6!

Awesome!!! I bet you’re on top of the world. You’re going to love the rest of the plan :)

Yes, the longer the runs, the slower I tend to do them just to complete the run, the advice is to go "slow and steady" I do that. On week 1 round 1 I completed a recognised 5k course in 40m 30sec, just doing the 90sec run, 2-minute walk, however, on the same course on week 3 round 1 my time was 44.30 as during the runs I did not go as fast as on R1.

PS I only train on this recognised course a few times, not every time I am training for C25K

I had a man with his young son toddling along in front of me last night. He must have thought me mad when he stepped to one side to let me pass and I stopped at the end of my 90 seconds immediately next to him and gasped 'thanks'

It's worse when someone 30 years older than you passes lol but keep her lit and you will get there eventually lol
