Should I go back a week ?

Struggling with week 7 (taking me 3 weeks, 1 run a week) is it really bad to go back a week ? I feel like I’m letting myself down !

I was on such a roll with running 25 mins, I just don’t like going backwards !

I see this your first post.

Have you made time to read the FAQ Posts🤔

Have not read your story.

You are doing great.Nothing bad and you are not letting yourself down.

Far from it you are courageous and asking for what you need.

I think you are pursuing weight reduction goals also.

Are you going slow enough to sustain and hold a conversation.

Are you outside or on a treadmill.

It is your unique programme and your gift to yourself.

The programme prepares you run by run, it is not a race , you are building your legs , lungs and stamina.

You have already run for 25 mins.

Wk8 x 3 x28 mins and week 9 x 3 x 30 mins.

These are all enjoyable providing you are doing them at your happy pace.

If you feel you need to repeat , you know yourself best, and that is not going backwards.

Hope this is helpful.Going to read your story.

Enjoy and keep smiling.🌟👏👏

No. You have done the 25 ,o runs. You don't need to do them any more. Just stick with W7 and try to chill out about it. If you are comfortable at 25 mins there is no reason at all a couple of minutes more should be a problem for you, but the more you buildit up in your head the more it will become a hurdle. Running is as much a mental game as physical, especially when pushing your envelope. Just relax. it doesn't matter how long it takes you to get it.

If you complete a run move on to the next. Are tou down to one run a week due to lack of motivation or life getting in the way? If its motivation problems plan the day before and then get out there. If its other issues just stick with it, one run a week is more than before you were on the programme.

It was a bit of both tbh ! Things out of my control, thank you for those words, it really is way more than I’ve ever done !

No need to go back... just take it slow and take it steady....:)

Real and let those new running legs begin to find their happy pace... breathe gently and just run :)

Why are you only doing one run a week? Three means you are ready for the next step as you have consolidated those runs but if you’re doing one a week I think it might restrict your progress. Good luck. You can do this 👍🏽

It wasn’t through choice, just a busy couple of weeks, that’s why I thought I couldn’t do it ! But I did 💪🏻

Thanks for all the motivation! I made it 💪🏻 I thought I couldn’t as due to things out of my control I’d run once a week for a few weeks. But I persevered ! :)
