Had a busy week last week so long gap between week 1 and week 2 - but managed 5/6 run bursts even though I am 18 stone and very unfit! Feel a bit like I can’t do the full week 2 runs all the way but want to keep going. Should I go back to week 1 runs?

I would make sure you can complete a set of runs before moving on. Slow down as much as you can and that should help. There’s no point rushing onto the next week if you can’t do the week you’re on. You need to build up gradually as the time starts increasing rapidly as you move on. Good luck and keep at it!

Slow down and then slow down more... you need to complete the runs before moving on... you will do it...just believe it:)

I'm no expert as 4 stone overweight and very unfit, but I would say the C25K plan may be a 9 week plan for some, but it may be a longer plan for others who decide they need to repeat certain weeks for whatever reason. It will get easier as your legs and lungs get stronger 😃

Thanks all - I’ll do w2r1 again before I move on. I know everyone says it but I cannot imagine running for anything longer than I am now!

Stick to the plan, rerun any days that you cant complete until you do then move on to next. I promise you if you stick to the correct days and complete them you will be running longer than you can now. Just completed the 20 min run on sat and I weigh 20 stone, while you may think weight is a factor this programme seems to completely ignore it, for me personally anyway! Massive advice that you should listen to from everyone, go slow :)
