"Anything you can do I can do better..." (Irvin Berlin)

As in the words of the 1946 musical "Annie get your gun", I started wondering if anyone can actually jog MORE slowly than me when during my W3R3 yesterday my 13 year old son, jogging with me and not even breaking a sweat, turned round and started jogging BACKWARDS in front of me to smile and offer words of encouragement! I couldn't help laughing at him running faster backwards (!) and then as some passer by's smiled at me he said to them "that's my mum, come on mum, you can do it!" (How sweet was that, given that I was a red, wobbly mess 🤣). So there you go, if you thought you were slow, there will always be someone slower 😂😂😂

Aw how sweet. He's clearly very proud of his mum. Don't worry about your speed, you're out there moving your body and that's all that matters.

And I love Howard Keel 😘 that voice ..... oh I've come over all wobbly, must sit down. Someone fan me.......

Aaaww, one of those funny, special Mum & child moments. .... and a teenager acknowledging a parent in public!!! Stand tall on your pedestal! ...& well done about the running too - slow is good for us - I want to say “slow is the new fast”, but that doesn’t quite work, maybe “slow is the new healthy”! ! 😃

Speed is most certainly not an issue, slow jogging is wonderful especially when it allows you to achieve what you set out to accomplish, no better feeling than success :)

You have a lovely son! My lot (in the same circumstances) would have been mortified with shame. And if you're not actually going backwards you're still going forwards. W3R2 for me tomorrow. Let me know how you get on with W4!

My son had forgotten to bring his shorts... Fortunately we had his bright yellow shorts from his school production The Wiz in the boot so bless him, he wore those!! 😎

What a lovely post. I was struggling with Week 1 thinking I couldn't go any slower but today I did slow down and felt the difference! Think I'm getting it now ....... snail's pace is for me! 😂

As long as both feet are off the ground in every step it doesn't matter how slow you go 😁
