I suffer with anxiety and want to know can I do this programme if I don’t leave the house? (Walking/jogging in kitchen ). Sorry for the silly question.

Hey, welcome! 👋👋👋

Not a silly question at all! You can do the programme wherever you like, although I guess running for 20 minutes and above (W5 onwards) might get a bit monotonous in one or two rooms!

So give it a try and have fun! You might end up feeling able to pop outside eventually if you get the running bug like most of us have! It’s a fabulous programme, so enjoy it! 😀😀😀

Believe it or not, you are not the first to ask this! Getting a treadmill would be ideal I guess.

If you have a big enough kitchen/open space I don't see why not. I wouldn't recommend trying to run on the spot though. It's biomechanically very different and will force you to run on your toes.

Treadmill if you have the cash/room would be a better bet though. Hope you manae to find something that works for you...

Hi Katiejo22. Nothing to lose by starting at home. It might help you to build up your confidence to jog outside at a later date? The fact your doing something for yourself is a big step forward. Hope you enjoy your running experience. Take it nice & slow. A snails 🐌 pace is just fine (for me at least)Lots of support & advice from more experienced runners on this forum. Good luck 👍🏻

Not silly at all - there is someone else on here doing the same - doing laps of her lounge( can't remember name sorry)

If it gets you active and on the road to a more healthy you it's all good😊

Once you've built up some confidence you may feel able to go out - or as others have said maybe get a treadmill - you can get some reasonably cheap 2nd hand ( mine was £40 - it's not fancy but it's in the garage for when I can't get out for any reason)

Good luck x

Absolutely! Our old friend CairoKitten did it in her living room - very successfully! :) In her case I believe it was due to concerns about personal safety, but no matter - she graduated and moved on to running outdoors when she visited where it was more 'appropriate' for ladies to run through the streets.

Main thing is to get away from the couch - and pretty soon you will, like the rest of us, get over the apprehension of running outside :)

Wishing you many happy miles in your future :)
