Guess what I’ve just done? Only gone and completed run three week five; the bloody awful twenty minute run. I got to13 mins and did have to slow my pace from 7kmph on treadmill to 6.2kmph. I’m only short so still a fair jog and it wasn’t walking which I guess is the main thing.
I have to admit though I found it pretty gruelling and didn’t enjoy it. But it’s done so onto week six.

I agree I expected some sort of incredible elation at the end as some people had, but I mostly felt exhausted.
However look how fast you recover now! During week 1 I was sore for 2 days and walking was effort!
About finding it gruelling, I agree. I think it's because a small part of us expects to find running 'easy' at some point, as it may have done on R3 of earlier weeks. But remember it's meant to escalate and push you out of your comfort zone. Jo Wiley said to me in one of the previous weeks during the last run 'this is where your fitness really improves'.
And from W6R3 all through week 7 there are 4 runs the same length. Then we will get back our feeling of 'easier'.
