...well everyone will now in these beauties! Yes took the plunge and bought some Trainers to replace the Karrimors I started c25k in. Just in time too, according to the folks in the shop. The K’s were pretty bad. The staff at Sportlink, Taverham (nr Norwich), are excellent. Gait analysis? Done! Brooks? So comfy! And what’s more they just bounced me through w5r2. These are now my magic trainers. I expect they’ll help me see in the dark too...

My new running shoes are a bit bright too - turquoise and orange! It’s enough to make me keep going so that I can get them off sooner! However, mine work well.
Ha! They do find some interesting colour combos don’t they! I think they’re a great distraction. Passers by are so busy looking at my blindingly bright shoes they’ve completely ignored the large, sweaty, panting mess wearing them.
It’s weird how running is the only thing in life when people get away with wearing the most garish and clashing outfits ever! You need contrasting clothes now too 👍🏽
Your Karrimors only lasted you to week 5 - a bit short of the 300+ miles that they should cope with. I had been using a pair of Karrimors and they were working out fine for me.
Morning! No they were old when I started. My daughter’s old walking trainers she wore on camping trips. They really weren’t made for road running though. I’m gobsmacked at the difference in cushioning now I’ve got proper running shoes.
