Even more tomato faced than usual and for the first time since before graduating I had to take a couple of walk breaks - but, not for long and Iโm not gonna beat myself up about it โ
My running companion loved it anyway๐
I hope everyone has a great weekend (itโs gonna be a warm one here in the uk)
Well done for making it! It's tough, isn't it? And yet, we can't complain about such a great weather I envy the dogs who can run effortlessly and never get beetroot faces! Yours looks like he could go for another run!
There's no shame in having to walk a bit, especially in the heat. It is a whole new experience that your body needs to adjust to, just as we adjust to running in the cold. You may want to consider changing your run time to earlier when it is so warm. We're supposed to be 27 C tomorrow so I'm going to do my Revenge of the Sixth 5k run early morning instead of later morning. The benefit of a virtual run - I can choose my time to run.
Well done on completing it Lillybeth ๐ I was exactly the same this morning...Iโm really not good in the sun and walked twice running park run this morning ๐ x
I know what you mean ๐ณ during the week I have to run in the evening or just after the school run. I can run early on the weekend as my husband is at home to look after our son...thinking of heading out about 6am on BH Monday ๐
