Week 6 Run 3 and my runaway tech gear...

I'd been feeling sick about running for 25 mins as I didn't particularly find 10 mins easy this week but I managed it. I was so amazed that I managed the 25 min run (and so knackered) that I drove home from the park with my phone and earphones on the roof of the car! When I realised they were missing I was shocked to find my phone still on the roof and went back and found my earphones a mile or so down the road (undamaged) which I was really pleased about as I had just bought some wireless ones! Felt pretty stupid but very happy that things turned out good in the end today! I need to have more faith :)

Well done you!

And as for the phone on the car roof, I've done that as well. Several times, but always managed to remember it after a little while and was able to rescue it (I had a sun roof at the time and could see the outline of the phone on it). It's hard to keep track of everything. Especially after you've just done something you weren't sure you could do. Glad it all worked out!

Keep it up and happy running!

My next run is w6r3 and I must say I also found the 2 x 10 min runs really hard work so was happy to read you found the 25min ok. Any tips for getting through the 25 mins? I’m still a treadmill runner and planning on transitioning to outside but worried It’s a step up too much to manage 25 mins straight off 😧

I started going to the gym then decided to do C25k. I preferred running on a treadmill as I didn't want to be seen out in public trying to run. I started running outside doing the earlier runs with my dog so I had a partner but also if anyone saw me I didn't look to bad. I now prefer running outside (minus dog as she slowed me down and tripped me up) as I found on a treadmill mill I clock watched and each minute felt like 5. I did the wk6r3 on Saturday on treadmill and hated it. I managed it but going back outside today. Maybe try a run outside and see how you go. Good luck with the 25mins

Not really except when you think you're about to give up just tell yourself to do a little bit more then you'll get through the 'wall' until you hit another and repeat...! Eventually it's done. Just keep reminding yourself the first 10 mins is the hardest not that it's dead easy after that but I think a tad more bearable :) Good luck.

If you do go out and are a bit self conscious (like myself) I'd recommend somewhere big and open like a park but not where it's too busy. And make sure it's flat!
