A Word of Warning.

This is my first post since beginning the c25k. Having completed the first week of running in the local park I decided to alternate my runs with some treadmill work whilst I was at the gym. With my ipod clipped to the sleeve of my shirt and the treadmill set to a brisk jog I was half way through my W2R3 when I suffered a slight mishap. Sensing that my ipod was working loose I decided to unclip it and slip it into my shorts pocket. Half way through this operation I managed to hit the off switch and the podcast fell silent. At this point I decided to stop running and reset my ipod but stopping running on a treadmill is not advisable without first turning it off. Needless to say, I slipped off the back of the belt. I managed to keep upright but felt quite foolish. I didn't think it was possible for my face to get any redder than it already was from the exertion but I think I managed it.

Apart from that it's all going well.

So many hidden hazards with a treadmill! At least you weren't injured :-) I love the fan on the treadmill, reduces the red face a bit. Keep going.

Ha don't worry. I have done something very similar. I reached to my bottle to get a drink was only doing a fast walking pace at the time, however managed to lose co-ordination and balance and fell off the back! :O

I would like to say this has only happened to me once but sadly I would be lying! :)

Good to know I am not the only clumsy one out there! :O

I’d feel pretty cool if I’d managed to slide off the back of a treadmill and not fall over 😎

I hope you are not running on a treadmill on days between runs in the park.........rest days from running of any sort are sacresanct, as explained in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

.........stick to the park.
