Who knew? I certainly never anticipated being able to run for 20 minutes on the morning of my 55th birthday........ And would have laughed at anyone who suggested I do so. Feeling quite celebratory as a result even if I know that I did slow down to a walk to get through a couple of gates which wasn't absolutely necessary . Think I might repeat the whole week just to be sure as feeling nervous about moving on. Definitely feeling the benefit of better hydration and not suffering from such heavy legs as a result.

I seem to have finished Week 5!
Huge well done! 🎉🎉About to go out to do run 2 of week 5 and needed inspiration! 👍👍👍
Well done! You're right about the hydration though, one of the benefits of the programme is that I now drink more water whether it's a run day or not. Good luck with the coming weeks too, I'm sure you won't need to repeat them, you sound like you're doing just great!
Re the hydration-when I run first thing I don’t drink much as always then need the loo! How do you get round that?
I'm terrible for that on a morning too! I think the trick is just to stay well hydrated the previous day. I am still very much a novice at this though but I try and drink at least a glass of water before a morning run. I'm usually a gasping mess by the end anyway as I can't master breathing through my nose, it's all through my mouth!
My breathing is the same. I definetly make up with water after! 😬
Breathe through your mouth then!

Well done.
Ripcurlrana71 rollyrol keep up with the hydration all the time and eventually, doesn't take too long, your body gets balanced and the need for the loo does reduce. I run in the countryside so calls of nature aren't a problem but I do find that I can ignore the call when I have too and the 'need' goes away for a while.
