How far back to go?

Back early in the year I breezed through the full program plus a couple of weeks and had even got up to try a 10k then I had a motorcycle accident which broke my neck. Today is the first day I've tried to run in two months and I could only manage to run intermittently with the longest stretch about 1.5k , it was a lot harder than I expected! How far back in the program would you suggest I go to start again as I am sure I don't need to go right back to the beginning?

Hi

I have done 10k and 5k but I don't keep it up so I am constantly starting again, I am on w3 run2

I enjoyed starting from the beginning it helps motivate you and builds your confidence

Hope this helps x

You could always go back to week 1 and do one run from each of the first few weeks until you find your level - for me I think that would work better than trying to plunge in at week 3 or 4 and realising I'd overestimated my ability, but you know yourself best.

Just in case anyone is searching for this and comes across this question, I thought i would be clever and start at week 5 and have just finished week 9 and it was really hard work. Wish I had gone back to the beginning as I didn't start to enjoy the running until week 9 whereas when I did the full program I looked forward to every run.

Good news is though I am back happily running 6k again!
