I thought I'd go out and make sure I could at least walk for 30 mins. Turned on the program to see how it works and after the 5 min warm up, Sarah Millican tells me to run for 60 secs. I thought sod it so I did! And again. And again. Eight times. Then a 5 min warm down and I'm done! W1R1 in the bag! Even in Β£15 Tesco trainers. I have a pair of Asics coming on Tues in time for W1R2 on Weds. Hot, sweaty, but not too out of breath. Knees complaining a bit probably due to rubbish shoes but I did it!! πππ

Well done!
I've been dreading starting, you might have just inspired me to give W1R1 a go!

I was a bit worried as I've had problems with my groin and knee. The trick is to take it very slowly. It's not a race. Even if you can't do it first time, do what you can and repeat the run a couple of days later. There is no requirement to finish the programme in 9 weeks. If it takes 20 weeks or even longer to get to the final part then so be it. What's important is that you do eventually get there. Go for it and enjoy! π
