Welll...there's a surprise!

β€’7 Replies

I thought I'd go out and make sure I could at least walk for 30 mins. Turned on the program to see how it works and after the 5 min warm up, Sarah Millican tells me to run for 60 secs. I thought sod it so I did! And again. And again. Eight times. Then a 5 min warm down and I'm done! W1R1 in the bag! Even in Β£15 Tesco trainers. I have a pair of Asics coming on Tues in time for W1R2 on Weds. Hot, sweaty, but not too out of breath. Knees complaining a bit probably due to rubbish shoes but I did it!! πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

I've been dreading starting, you might have just inspired me to give W1R1 a go!

I was a bit worried as I've had problems with my groin and knee. The trick is to take it very slowly. It's not a race. Even if you can't do it first time, do what you can and repeat the run a couple of days later. There is no requirement to finish the programme in 9 weeks. If it takes 20 weeks or even longer to get to the final part then so be it. What's important is that you do eventually get there. Go for it and enjoy! πŸ˜€
