Well I finally went and did it. I did my first ever parkrun.

I loved it, did it at Felixstowe and it was lovely, weather was kind and the marshals so supportive and encouraging. Not sure of official timings yet but fitbit said 35 minutes.

It won't be my last.

We'll done.

In 8 weeks time, I should be ready for one.

It looks like you're near me. Have you tried many nearby? Wondering which is best to start with.

It was my first one, they do them at Kesgrave and Ipswich and Great run Local are at Needham Lakes and Holbrook on a Sunday . Check out their websites. It's really good, Felixstowe is lovely because it's on the Prom so all level and tarmac.

Thanks. I'll definitely bear this in mind for a couple of months' time.

I'm sure if I did the Felixstowe one and took the family, my wife would end up with the kids in the penny arcade...
