I’m currently on week 5 and I’m already dreading week 7 when it jumps to 25 minutes of running!! Did anyone struggle when the jump from 8 minutes to 25??

Delight not dread.. anticipation not apprehension:) It is not a jump.... each run follows on from the one before and you are ready for all of them.

Take it slow and steady... trust the plan and have confidence in yourself :) You can do this:)

It looks like a big jump when you look ahead, but when the run comes around you will be ready. Just take it one run at a time and trust the plan - and perhaps stop looking ahead and worrying 😉

Yeah I probably need to stop looking ahead and focus on the run I’m on! Lol

I am currently on week 7 Run 3 and as of yet have not managed a full run without having to stop a couple of times but I am not disheartened as 7 weeks ago the 60 seconds was too much for me to manage and this week I ran for 18 minutes solid so it does work you just have to believe in yourself you got this girl

God I’m so glad you struggled at the start like me too!! I don’t know how I’m currently running 5 minutes when I struggled at 60 seconds on week 1! Thank you 😋💪🏼

I am only just about to start w4 and the jump seems too much but I have surprised myself at finishing W3 so I am trusting the programme. Good luck, I am sure you will do it!

Hi Cheryl, I’m in the same position as you. I’ll be doing my first run of week 4 tomorrow and like you I’ve looked ahead and feel it’s a big jump from 3 minutes running:jogging. Totally agree though, you just have to trust the programme and have a positive attitude. Let’s hope we surprise ourselves..

Good luck!

Good luck to you too. My first week 4 is due Sunday so we shall see. Let me know how you get on.

Will do, it’s exciting to think you might go from total novice to running 5K, or thereabouts in nine weeks. 😊

I know! 5K always seemed impossible but we are practically halfway there x

That’s a great way of looking at it! X

I was just like you and convinced there's no way I could run that long. I surprised myself and having done it, it's the knowledge that I can that keeps me going. Graduated last week, but still using the same knowledge to run 30 mins 3 times this week. However, I have discovered that I'm running faster than I was (without realising it) so perhaps that's why it's still hard work!

Be positive, but if it doesn't happen don't be too hard on yourself. It doesn't have to be done in the suggested time frame.

You will get there if you keep going.

I’m still on w5 and dreading week 6😉

I am glad I’m not the only one who dreads them! Not sure why I am not loving it as everyone else. About to start week 5 today... wish me luck!

20 minutes was actually doable and so is the 25 but I just really struggle!! I don’t think it helps that my 10-20 minute mark is uphill on the route I take! Lol

Have you tried slowing down and doing a shuffle jog? This helps me catch my breath
