Well Iβve only gone and done it! Completed the whole C25K programme with my final run last night and I canβt tell you just how accomplished I am feeling right now. My goal was to complete week 9 before we head off for a long weekend in Spain and I blooming-well have! For someone who loathed PE at school and even in the first 2 weeks of the programme seriously doubted my ability to continue I canβt quite believe Iβm even writing this now.
So to all those out there who find themselves in the same doubting position ........ think again! Its not rocket science, thereβs no magic involved - just a whole hearted commitment to yourself that you will see the whole programme through however long it takes. Follow the programme run by run and take each run one at a time. Take the tough with the smooth but above all persevere and take it in your own time - however fast or slow. Slow and steady was my mantra and slow I will stay until such a time (if ever) I might want to speed up a little.
Now for a few days rest and relaxation and on to planning the next stage of my running life wherever that takes me......
This forum has been truly inspirational and reading all your posts has really kept me going. Thank you all π

Thank you so much! Hoping to catch a few rays of sunshine and bring them back with me π (have even sneeked my trainers in the case just incase the opportunity arises to run in the sun amongst the wonderful scenary!)
Ooh why not try a run in Spain. I did a Winter training camp well okay tapas sampling in Malaga and the warm weather was fab to run in...
Congratulations! That is so inspiring to read - I have 3 weeks to go, and have only recently dared to think that I will actually complete this programme, having never run before. Enjoy your weekend! π
Thank you! Keep going - you are sooooo close! Youβll soon be thinking about what you will do when week 9 is over! Youβll be there before you know it πββοΈ
Thank you. It will fly by believe me. I started in what felt like the depths of winter and have watched spring bud its way along the route. And yesterday? Well yesterday the sun was actually shining as I crossed the finish lineπ
Aww Thank you. I havenβt really posted much on here - taking my inspiration and motivation from you all along the way keeping me going. No one else quite gets the challenges and emotional feelings some of us have around our ability (or inability) to run as this forum does. The challenges or misbeliefs in ourselves which for some, have travelled alongside all our lives..... until now. Now we can hold our heads up and be proud weβve taken the first steps to achieve what always seemed unachievable.
