Bit the bullet

After 6 months I thought it time to get back out running. I downloaded the app last week but kept putting off the inevitable. I'm starting back at week 1. With a heavy heart and even heavier legs I set off with my own support team of hubby and dog...and I did it. Pat on the back. It wasn't as bad as I built it up to be. Never thought I could run but I know I can I just have to believe the aching knees will pass. Onwards and upwards?!!

Yep read it all the way through. My pace is extremely slow and steady and the foam roller is on standby! Next run Wednesday and I'm looking forward to it despite my currently aching calves.

But of course! And stay so you don't have a chance to worry about W1R1 again! I wish I had a dog to run with. I've given up wishing for my man's company 😯 He's best as a before and after encourager.

I took my fella along one time... he complained all the way round about anything and everything!! I managed to make it through the session and then told him I was delighted he'd gotten off the couch but this obviously had to be my thing as he had different ideas how it should be done. I never asked him along again. He's also only done one more session since 👎 he's super proud of what I've achieved but I don't think we're ever going to be running buddies. We do some cycling together, that's enough 😁😂

Oh well it's not for everyone. Must admit enjoy running with a friend more but at least he gives me the encouragement I need to keep going.
