First parkrun in the bag.

Graduated from #C25K two weeks ago and completed my 6th post graduation run with my 1st parkrun at Shipley Country Park, Derbyshire.

I was slightly nervous to start with, never running in a group before and not knowing how the whole parkrun malarkey works.

No need for any nerves, there was a friendly welcome and great encouragement from all volunteers involved.

I must admit I found it strange and almost like I was starting out all over again, running with other people and found pacing myself a slight issue!

Official time came in at 31:16 and a position of 88/183.

On a whole I’m pleased with the mornings work and would recommend parkruns for anyone of all abilities and I’m now sat here working out my shift patterns as to when I can run my 2nd parkrun!!!!
