As some of you know I had a difficult day yesterday with doubts setting in after some unhelpful comments made to me by friends. So this morning more determined than ever week 2 completed and 10000 steps all done before 9am and I feel great. So thank you all for your support yesterday x
And all before 9am: As some of you know I had a... - Couch to 5K
And all before 9am
Well done ! ππ
Canβt believe your friends have been making unhelpful comments! Use that as your motivation instead! Well done. Youβre doing fab πͺπ½
Weβre all backing you! Well done! ππΌ
Thank you Jude1963 I am determined and loving it ..by the way not sure of the significance of 1963, but it was a good year !
The year I was born of course!!
Teehee ..me too! X
That is so brilliant - bounced back with style and finesse! That'll show 'em! Why don't you ask your friends how many steps they did before 9am!! Very well done on completing Week 2. Happy running and keep posting xx πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπππ
Wow, thatβs impressive. Give yourself a clap on the back. I was looking for a post to motivate me to get up and get out for my run. Youβve done
that for me, thank you. Out I go!
Thank you, it means a lot to motivate someone as everyone on here has motivated me
The best way to get revenge is to prove people wrong. U have inspired me- all before 9am! You are a super-trooper! Keep going.
Well done, over 10000 steps and 5x exercise achieved and it's only Friday. Hanging my head in shame......π
Good stuff! Remember to stretch well after your excercise, it'll help minimise any aches/soreness.π
Yes thats interesting, I'm just getting some pain to front of left ankle, will look to do some proper stretches. I have neglected that so far
Well done lovey. Good on you for keeping going and doing it before 9am!! πππ
Wow, thatβs impressive; well done ππ½
Well done you xx
Fantastic! Well done ππ I was still in my pjs at 9am ππ
Im definitely a morning person, Ive already sussed that out that i exercise and/or run better in the morning
1963 was an absolutely vintage year!!! When I told my 2 bezzies that I had started the program the slim one that walks her dog for two hours a day said fantastic go for it. The fatty one with diabetes said 'soooo bad for the knees'. Says it all really... .So glad that you have had a better day and wow what a day!! Fantastic achievement.
Thank you, it is very interesting, I wasn't prepared for friends actually having an opinion about my health campaign, I hope I am always positive and encourage my friends in whatever they wish to achieve.
I always think it's a form of control - like the partner who buys you doughnuts when they know u r trying to lose weight. I think if people r unfit or overweight they feel threatened when u start doing what they know they should be doing.
Brilliant! You're doing fabulous ππππ»
Theyβre jealous! The green eyed monster!
I tentatively told a friend, that I now did a βlittle runningβ. She reacted by giving me a silence, then sternly told me she couldnβt run, as sheβd had a hip operation. Whew!
Theyβre not used to this new you! Well, keep at it- hey letβs go and bug them all!
See you around fellow runner!
Dint take any notice of negative comments...just do your own thug and enjoy how positive it makes you feel.
Well done...
Oops....end of a busy day spelling mistakes......
Keep going youβre doing great π
I found the 1st 4 weeks the hardest x I still find the 1st 5mins are me finding my pace then off I goπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ

Good on you!! I think your βfriendsβ might have done you a favour after all πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπππ
Hi
I am in the 1963 club too! Well done for staying positive. I have just completed week 1 today, and people like you are a great source of inspiration to me. Thanks and keep posting ππ»ββοΈ
Well done you! You are an inspirational woman, taking control of your health and losing all that weight. Not easy! And now running - I have found it requires a surprising amount of courage.
It is odd how friends (sometimes well-meaning) can make these kind of comments that are SO unhelpful. For the moment, I have only told my closest friend that I am doing this because I don't want to risk anyone making a comment that doesn't help. These may not be mean but might actually be discouraging, even if they are perfectly pleasant. And I don't want anyone keeping tabs on me. This forum is a better way to get the support and encouragement I am sure to need, I think.
All the best for your runs, Wonder Woman ππ!
Thank you, it really is the support on here that is getting me through something I didn't believe could be possible. Isn't it sad that people can be discouraging without even realising it. Here I am in middle of week 4 and loving it. Luckily I live in a remote area so I can get out and run ridiculously early to avoid anybody at all, that is quite sad in itself but I am still building confidence and trying to believe I can do this. Keep going and post on here regularly, if something has not gone so well everyone picks you up and if things have gone super they are all clapping you on from cyberspace ..this is a marvellous place. Look forward to hearing your adventures x
