Wk2 run 3 completed not sure if it was because it was very cold but struggled to regulate my breathing today. Counting didn't help and it was actually exhaling I found difficult.....advise anyone please x

Try going slower. A snails 🐌 pace is fine!

I find if its to cold I can't function , going out to buy more gear running warm isn't an option ,

I will finish this programme but I ain't going to sacrifice myself , warm days are coming ... Don't beat yourself up this programme is getting you off the couch not killing yourself

Strangely I had same problem on that run so was counting 2 in and 2 out.

Today on week 3 , run 2 I was fine. I find music with a good rhythm helps especially Despacito! Keep going !

That’s good.👍

Yes it is a lower gear than 4:4, which maybe more normal for longer runs.🤔

Best way at the beginning🤔 is just do it in your own natural way, without thinking, and pull that hand brake on until you find that you can get the extra oxygen on board that you need.🤔🌟👏👏

Have you got a snood?? You’ll prob benefit from wearing one in this cold weather

Just slow down and breathe exactly like you do all the time... :)

Believe Oldfloss. Just do it.Do not think about it.Slow slow.

Cold oxygen is the same for everyone 🤔, does not transfer efficiently into your blood stream and muscles.🙈

Slow slow gets the job done always.🌟👏👏🏃‍♀️👏👏

I think the cold makes it harder, maybe your body has to work harder to take up the oxygen you need? But don’t worry, just keep going, as slowly as you like, and gradually it seems to get easier:-) good luck! :-)

There is a section on breathing in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Relax and stop thinking about it.

The best advice I was given was to not think about breathing and just let it sort itself out - it did, somewhere about W4. Slow down so your breathing is more comfortable & go relaxed & gently. 😃
