Hi all
Had the app downloaded for about a year now but (although I would say I am usually quite confident) I haven’t had THE confidence to get out there! But I have plucked up enough courage to start my wk1 run 1 tonight!

Welcome to the best thing ever.... we probably Just take it slow and steady and keep that positivity... Keep posting too, for great advice and support...
You'll live the feeling when you complete the first run 😀 Good luck!
Good for you, DCL. I downloaded the podcasts years ago and only got round to starting recently. Go for it, you will realise how responsive and resilient your body is.
Post an update after your first run.
Yay! Well done you... I bottled it last night there is always something else to do! Good on you keep going.
Welcome to the forum.
Do read the guide to the plan that Oldfloss has linked to.
Enjoy your journey.
Good for you. It took me six months between downloading and finally walking out the front door. Once you're out there its fine, just stay in the bubble with your "personal trainer" and the music and don't worry about anything else (except traffic, of course).
Well done, you can do it 👍
Go for it, I had it downloaded for ages too!! Now on week 3 and really look forward to run days! Who knew running was addictive, I thought all this talk of endorphin release was rubbish until now 🤣
Just get out there and do it and post on here and tell us how it was. You can do it!
Hi all thanks for your messages! So I put the run off last night- however I am pleased to say I went and did it first thing this morning- it was great! Couple of observations-
- I need to reavaluate the route- few hills I am absolutely not ready to tackle them yet!
- I need to slow down running pace and speed up walking pace- I went for it a little bit too much!
- keep going- run 2 on Sunday just before I eat a shed load of chocolate and lamb!
Thanks for your messages they really help.
Now- shower!
Yaaay!! Well done DCL27!!! You are doing it!!! Keep adjusting your pace until you feel comfortable and you will absolutely ace this.
Great stuff. I’ve just completed W1R3 and it isn’t as hard as you fear. Take it steady and get ready for an amazing high afterwards.
So run number 2 completed yesterday - really enjoyed it- different route with less hills so I think I will stick with that one.
Run 3 tomorrow and I can not wait!
