For anyone who uses the treadmill..are you drinking water at the same time....my treadmill wont hold the bottle so need to place it on a chair nearby but then I dont drink it...
First run on week8 completed....had a few days off due to not being well..did anyone find re starting after like 5 days you feel a bit sluggish??? Could be due to lack of sleep..

If you are hydrating well (a minimum of 2.5-3 litres throughout the day) then there is no need to drink during a 30 minute workout, unless you have specific medical conditions. In fact there is no need to rehydrate for any run up to an hours duration.
I don't drink on my runs as I'm outside but I make sure I'm well hydrated the night before (I'm a first thing in the morning runner) and then top up after I finish my run. I can run for an hour or so without needing to drink along the way, and a bottle would just be yet another thing to have to faff about before setting off.
I personally like to bring a drink because if i use my asthma inhaler it makes my mouth dry. You can get bottles with a hole in the middle so that its easier to hold if that helps
Thats a good idea..might try getting that. Yeah will definitely help your asthma.
I'm glad I'm not the only one doing this on a treadmill. Haven't started yet as I've just been given the all clear from my Dr following some health problems. Plan to start after the Easter break. How are you finding it? Do you run outdoors at all?
I love running on the treadmill, part of my comfort zone as its in my house..so have to use it. I dont run outdoors as I dont feel confident to.
The only issue I have is that there is a clock/ timer on it and I often find myself counting down how long Ive been running for..guess I need another distraction..
But yeah ive completed run1 of week 8 and done them all on the treadmill so far so its definitely worth it.
Ah thank you for that. Yes I'm a bit of a fair weather runner and I much prefer the treadmill. I get frustrated running outside as I've been running round the park & it's very busy on nice days. At least in the Gym everyone is there for the same reason! I'd love a treadmill in my house but I know what you mean about counting down - i do that too! Maybe you could have a screen to watch in front of you - or listen to music? I find that really helps.
