Hi, after Chemo therapy, and currently on maintenance drugs, I have become extremely sedentary !! The result is considerable weight gain compared to what I've been used to.
I really want to get back to a weight that I am more comfortable with!!
I think help, support and some encouragement may be what I need to do this.

I've been through chemo, radio, still in drugs for another 4 years...done already 6! I still have a few kilos to loose but I'm not beating myself up, enjoy being alive 😁 This program is brilliant, it will help you start a new chapter of your life Wishing you all the best
C25K is run at your pace, so no need to ever feel pressured. It has transformed millions of lives and will make you feel more alive than you have for a long time.
You will find support In Bucket loads here. Take it nice and steady and you will be fine. I found on the weight loss issue my confidence about what my body was capeable of came before the weight loss but either way you will feel better about yourself doing the program.
I've had surgeries, chemo, rads more surgeries and am on hormone treatments for several more years which has caused arthritis. Used to be quite fit and jogged before getting ill but fitness all went! . This is my 3rd time trying to start the programme since and this time I am determined. It is neither fast nor pretty but I will get there. Am very very slow but I find it helps with stress and anxiety and it makes me feel strong to be 'in control' and be able to run for even just a few minutes.
Do it and get your future back! Things will then be on the up!
Hi there! Welcome to the forum and to the programme. Like others have said, C25K is not strictly a weight loss programme, but that doesn't mean it wont help you lose weight. Not only is it a tool in the belt to aide you weight loss, it will help you accumulate the other tools you need, like strong legs and lungs, increased confidence and will power, and hopefully a sunnier disposition to face the day! Excited for your journey, but you say you want to get back to your old self, but really you will build a new self who can do so many things you may think you are not capable of.
Welcome aboard. I think if you're here you want to do it... and you should. This programme is fantastic and it teaches you more than just how to run. Weight loss won't be huge from this alone but the gains you'll get will be in confidence and self esteem alone.
Personally I am a convert and I believe everyone owes it to themselves to complete this programme, even if they then decide running isn't for them. 👍😉
