Today was my first week 2 run after an additional rest day. I had mild pain in my heels so thought of taking it easy.
Went through the tons of advise I received for my last post and took it real slow. Concentrated in trying to land on my mid feet and surprise, no shin pain, no heel pain. Thanks again for the excellent advise and encouragement.
Next step, learn the breathing technique. Honestly, I found it impossible to follow today. First, I kept losing the count. Then, I end up really short of breath when I follow it. Need practice, I suppose.
How was your experience trying the breathing counts?

Personally on breathing in the early stages , just do it. Do not practise it initially while you are running maybe a distraction to your enjoyment.Of course maybe not and if it positively keeps you focused and the time goes quickly, why not. Just get the extra oxygen on board that you need.Mouth , nose or both. Slow and steady until you get into your groove with your feet.
Personally I am trying out Matt Cama, very simple Posture and breathing. He demonstrates both. Very simple. Only two breathing gears 4:4 and 2:2 . i am just practising that without the belly movements, which I will bolt on later.
