First Park Run

Arrived rather early so had a rather nervous wait. Started off surrounded by runners and it was difficult to know if I was running my pace or someone else's. It was so busy couldn't go too quick so this allowed me to settle.

There were all sorts of runners including people who were running and walking. Managed just over 5k in 31mins, so a bit of work to do to meet my personal goal, but I really enjoyed it and felt elated (and very red in the face).

It's the first time I've run without Micheal (or Laura) giving me progress reports I did miss that, so maybe I'll start the app next time 🤔

You get the stats sent through and get yourself a PB - so now you get to be all competitive with yourself on the cycle of continuous improvement 😅

Runners eh! 🙄🙉

Fantastic.🌟 Just a tad short of 10 km / hr pace also. Your soaring.🌟

Nothing red faced about that.🤔😂😂😂

Excellent, well done to you.👍 I'm not eager to do a Parkrun but can't decide if that's just me not wanting to get competitive or just being a bit anti-social 🤔

Well I think you’ll only get competitive with yourself, it definitely doesn’t feel like you’re in a race. The fast runners are long gone and some people are chatting but mostly people are doing their own thing. I welcomed the distraction of other runners and a new route. Apparently sometimes there are pacemakers 😯

That sounds incredible and really quick pace. I'm glad it worked out so well. You didn't sound like the back of the pack x
