Like many before me - I want to say thank you to all the great positive support on this site, from others starting out in the program, graduates and the administrators. I wouldn't have managed this (or even started) without the support. It is so inspiring looking at the different stories.

I can now run for 30 min, and even though I am still a long way off 5k - I don't care. For me, 30mins is a great achievement and I am so happy just thinking back to where I started in W1. I'm off to check out my local park run tomorrow (not to take part - just to have a look, hopefully gain some confidence) and then plan and join in the following week (even though I know it will take me more than 30 mins)

I also want to say a big thank you to anybody who works for the NHS who looks at this site. Just over a year ago, I ended up being taken to A&E in an ambulance with multiple fractures and a punctured lung. I also wasn't in a very healthy state when the accident happened (to put things mildly). Not pleasant, but I was treated so well and it taught me the value of health and pain free movement. I am lucky to have this second chance, as none of my injuries were permanent, and I am doing my best to make the most of it. It took me nearly a year to get to the starting line of C25K - but like so many before me - I've learnt that we can all get there - if we treat ourselves with a little kindness and patience. So thank you NHS employees - you really do make a massive difference to peoples lives

Congratulations! 🏅🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Yes our NHS is amazing indeed.

Kindness is key. We treat our family and friends with it always but often forget when it comes to ourselves. 👍😊

Wooohooo! Huge well done! Dance on that podium! 🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏😀

Also well done for grabbing your "second chance" with both hands. C25K is just the beginning of your running adventure. Consolidation time now!😃

I celebrated graduation by making a new playlist of favourite music to run to - It felt like a reward and also a good new start to the next phase of running. 😀

PS - I will show your message to my daughter, she is one of our NHS hard-working doctors. 😄

thank you Elfe5. I am sure I said thank you to the NHS staff when I was discharged - but - as I was dosed full of pain killers at the time - it might not have had the same sincerity as I feel now 😄
