Feeling good I DIDNT complete wk 6 run3

My average, so far, has been 1.5 miles in 35 mins.

This morning, with a headache and drizzling rain, I headed out on a new 1.6 mile route that is regularly scattered with hills and declines. The first 5 mins was bad then I got into my stride and was enjoying the music and the rain falling on my face. As I turned into my road, amost having done full circle, I realised Laura had not been giving me updates: just as I was telling myself I could do the last 400 yards or so she tells me I'm HALFWAY! !!!!!

As I got to my door, I knew I was done for today but, I RAN - 1.6 MILES in 20.42

I looked for the cheering crowds and my medal as I walked up my path, but had to settle for next doors cat waiting on my doorstep.

Obviously I got my pace wrong today, so friday I will slow it down and re do the full 25 mins wk6 r3

Woah! I’m not sure whether to say well done or not🤣 you’ve obviously got some pace in you, but yeah, you’ve learnt (as I have) that for these long runs we really have got to keep it slower. Well done on a great run anyway, and good luck with your next W6R3🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Ha. Sometimes you just need a speedy run. Post graduation it's good to add a run like that into the roster regularly if you want to be quick. But you've got the right idea to go back to the plan again until the end.

Big question - was it fun?
