Im new here! I’ve been building up for this and even repeated run 2 in anticipation. Then the snow and we’ve been cut off and surrounded by 4ft drifts...don’t know when I’ll be able to get out and I don’t have a treadmill! Any suggestions please?

Snowed in for Week 5, run 3
I did my week 2 run 3 around the house on Tuesday. It wasn't the same but I walked on the spot and jogged about. Made me little dizzy ! My runs were only 1.5mins so okay but I'm waiting for snow to go before I move on. I might repeat this run too as I'm scared having a week off will have set me back. It's definitely not worth risking ice outside. Hope it clears quickly for you too.
Well done to duracellqueen taking the initiative. wk2.3
Shame for you with your wk5.3 , lovely 20 mins.👍
The snow is OK , it’s the ice that is the problem. Too high risk if you are going out to skate.
Any large grass area just with soft snow on top is doable. Even your own lawn.🤔 Alan Titchmarsh made an interesting comment, if you walk on your lawn with ice on it it will break/damage your grass also.🤔If it is soft snow less or not harmful.👍
If you cannot get out for your own safety,🤔 all movement is good.👍 Any exercises will do.Loads of workouts on here,if you cannot find the links , someone will help. You can even do the pain exercises as a workout with the stop watch on your phone. 15-30 mins is great.👏👏🤔
Keep yourself ticking over.👏👏
Remember, there is no bad weather only bad clothing.👍😂😂
You do not lose your hard earned fitness that quickly👏👏
Do not stress about the 5.3 , in my opinion you will be good to go.
Stick with your normal prep on the day, the RSPSPE, Slow and steady and slower if required, you have done the work , it’s yours, and you deserve it.So what if there is a glitch, just do it again.👏👏🌟 or step back , all the options are good and so is the running , it is your journey and what is comfortable for you.Keep with the programme , of course.👍
Make sure you 🗑💩👍
Welcome Runnerbean! Don't worry, the snow will melt and you will run. The advice on this forum is that you don't lose significant fitness for the first two weeks of rest, so you should be ok to pick up from where you were up to - but listen to your body. It isn't a problem if you have to repeat a couple of runs. Stay warm and safe! 😀
