I completed C25k in Dec (started in October) but was training on our treadmill. I then pushed on to start training for 10K (to make 5k easier!!)
I started outside a few weeks ago and it was a killer - my legs felt like lead. I couldn’t do it! I struggled a few times. Returned to the app week3 and still it was tough.
I also noticed that I ended my warm up walk at a slight incline (a hill to new runners). So today I walked further to the top. Then started. I have just completed 30mins and ran 2.5miles - outside 👍🏻 in the wind they call hurricane Hannah!
I now feel like a proper runner 😂
My name is Janice. I’m 56years old and I run 😂😂😂
Keep going everyone - I, really, for the first time feel fantastic 😁

I totally recommend a Parkrun. Ours is hilly trails through the woods which are conquered each week by about 100-150 lunatics who range in age from about 9 to over 80. You’ll never be last, the volunteers take it in turns to have that honour. You may not be first either! The course record here is 16 minutes something. Approximately half the time it takes me! Some take 50 minutes+. No one cares, it’s all about beating yourself. If you’re nervous, why not offer to be a volunteer to have a look at it in action first of all. You get a hi-vis jacket, a map and the undying gratitude of a bunch of runners.
