I’m feeling disheartened. I got to week 5 run 1 then got a bad cold. Not run for 9 days and just been out and repeated week 5 run 1. It was really tough and had to stop a couple of times which I’ve never had to do 🙁. Hopefully I’ll quickly get back to speed. Should I repeat the same run once more then move to week 5 run 2? Is it normal to struggle after being ill? Don’t want to go backwards.

Don't worry Auntielou, no-one goes backwards on this training plan...😊
You have been ill, which will have sapped your energy and it was very cold today.. What you did was a practise run W5 R1 which will have helped and is banked in your legs...
So take at least one rest day, and if you are feeling well enough, then decide do you want to do this run again, or would you be happier having a successful Wk 4R3 run to build your confidence...
Week 5 is a good one that builds, and you may want to wait til you feel on top form then work through it in one go...
I did extra Week 4 runs as I enjoyed that week and its all good stamina building...

No worries at all- your body is just telling you that it needs to rest and get better. When you are well and get going again listen to your body - it will tell you what it can manage!
You are not alone- I also am having an unwelcome break from running due to a flu-y cold 😡 - but it will pass and we will be back out there soon. Take care x
I would take Bluebirdrunner excellent advice.... be kind to yourself... the runs will wait for you
