Week 5, run 3. Third attempt today but best I could manage was 1 x 8 mins short break then 1 x 5 mins run. Should I keep attempting run 3 or do the whole week again? Can’t quite believe I have made it this far but am struggling now.

I'd keep attempting it. Every run you do, makes you stronger.

Are you running slowly? The slower you go, the more likely you are to manage it.

It's completely up to you. A 20-min run is a big jump, so repeat the week if you'd like to. As said above, take it slowly. Because this is a much longer run, imagine the kind of pace you'd have to go at to run for, say, 30 mins. That way, you won't go too fast for your 20 mins.

Do what you feel is best for you though, and look forward to seeing you complete W5R3 soon! :-)

I've just done w3r5 and was very conscious about slowing everything down. I was certainly slower than the two previous runs and for much of it I was walking pace or less.

Stick at it. You can absolutely nail this. Its just you vs you. It doesn't matter if you take 20 attempts but just think of the achievement you will feel when you can tick this one off.

Good luck!

Really slow down. I mean run so slowly you could be walking. We all think we are running slow but we can all go slower. This was advice I was given and it really helped me complete the programme. Keeping hydrated the day before runs really helps there's no point drinking water just before a run thinking it will hydrate us. I hope this helps good luck and well done for getting this far 😁
