Advice please

Yesterday did Week 5, Run 3 but struggled running full 20 mins without stopping for walk break of about 1 minute.

Whey should I do?

a) repeat Week 5

OR

b) repeat Week 5, Run 3

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

C25k is a training plan, not a checklist exercise, so repeat the run until you have fully completed it.

You are probably running too fast. Say this sentence out loud to yourself "Am I going slow enough to enable me to speak this sentence in one out breath?" If you cannot, you are going too fast.

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

I would just run the run you could not complete as completing that run will set you up for the next run.... Slowly , slowly . Oh and remember to take deep breaths , I forgot this yesterday and when Laura said about breathing deep I did and my running picked up.

There is no need to repeat the week !Just the run you did not complete .

Give yourself a rest day (or 2) and repeat run 3 even slower 😁

I would just repeat the third run. Have a couple of days rest then head off slower than a slow thing, well hydrated, and breathing deeply - just cruise it........ Good luck - you've got this 👍💪👍

I had the same problem so I did another week repeating just that run and it worked fine. I managed to do it three times. This also helped with the subsequent weeks too.

I struggled with breathlessness until I learnt to run more slowly. Now I slow down just before I feel I might be getting out of breath. I try to keep a running action, no matter how slow, rather than walking. If it’s muscle tiredness then I sometimes have to say enough is enough and start to walk.
