Hi there and welcome to the last of this months', What is your Week ? February (4)

I don’t know about you, but I am loving being able to go out in near daylight. I have become very fed up of running in darkness!!Hopefully, lots of you will be joining in with this; it is a great support to everyone.

The idea of, "What is your Week" ?

Every week we are going to put up a post, so you can add in a little post underneath, to say what week you are planning to do this week.

Sample post (feel free to put as much or as little as you like):

“Hi Im Ju-Ju and this week, I am doing the dreaded week 5 run 3... help!, any tips guys? ”

We are growing so much at the moment and we wanted to have a little fun post ,so we can see who is on what week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.

Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.

At the end of the month there will be a Certificate for you to download and keep; just a little memento of the fact you have completed a whole month of the program. Another full month of running for you.

If you have just graduated, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, there is always the Quest on the Bridge to 10k forum as well for graduates.

I will add all the names from this week under this post. Every week for the month of February the names will roll over into another post.

Let's get a good list going so we can support each other.

(Come on you lurkers, you can do it as well. ?)

Happy Panthering

Ju-Ju x

Morning all,

I’m attempting the 10k this morning. It’s a long time coming after my IC experience set me back a few weeks ago.

Rightly or wrongly, I’m skipping the 9k after aborting my attempt last weekend, as I have a 10K event Sat week. Well it’s a race really but I’m going purely to make up the numbers and get a bit of bling afterwards 🥇😊

I’ll be doing one more short run on Monday then rest up til Sat Mar 3rd. 🏃🏃🏃

Enjoy your week whatever you’re doing guys and happy running 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♀️

Brilliant, and good luck for the race.

Started week 4 yesterday - after having restarted the programme in January. Only doing two runs a week though so spending two weeks (at least) on each week of the programme!

Have to say those 5 minutes runs seemed like they took forever last night!

Keep at it Soldier. I won’t say it gets easier but you’ll certainly get stronger 💪

Follow and believe in the programme, it really does work. Don’t forget to exercise on rest days, very important to build up your stamina...and do your stretches after each run.....I picked a lot of tips up on this forum and online.

You’ll do it 😊

That’s a really sensible approach. Lots of people do this.

Just finished week 8 and going into my graduation week run 1 of week 9 planned on Sunday! I am a bit disappointed about speed I am doing (3.6k for 28 min run) but I am running for 28 mins and have stuck to runs religiously in app! My previous attempts at running have failed but I have managed it this time! I am definitely going to keep on running and looking forward to my graduation!

Please please do not worry about speed. At this stage your focus is to finish the programme. You can work on your speed later, there are some fab C25k plus podcasts with an interval programme.

Thanks ju-ju- I did my first Week 5 run this morning. Slow and steady did it!

Hi completed W6R2 yesterday and looking forward to R3 tomorrow. I’ve sneaked a look and see that it’s a 25 minute run. The longest I’ve ever run but I’m welcome the challenge. I’m having fun downloading music as this definitely keeps me going. Any playlist recommendations??

I started by downloading Pete Tongs show on iplayer, then when I heard one I liked I downloaded on Strava. I have loads of running playlists now that I have built up..... what sort of music do you like?

Today I ran for 5K for the first time as part of week 1 of ju-ju’s 10K plan. I thought I might be being too ambitious trying this so soon after graduating but it went really well and I am looking forward to the 5.5K run in a few days time, but maybe at a slower pace.

I just finished week 4 today. It was hard! Today was slightly better, but my legs felt like lead right from the beginning. My breathing improved though. I wasn't completely exhausted and out of breath at the end. I'm running with my dog which adds a layer of difficulty. I have to wrestle with the leash a bit as she pulls when other dogs are near. I am looking forward to some warmer temperatures! Come on spring!

Hi I graduated mid November last year but only managing 2 runs a week due to dark evenings. I’m now trying to gradually up my distance in preparation for a 5mile charity run at the end of March. Never thought I’d enjoy running but really do!

I did week 4 run 1 last night . I was worried I wouldn't make it. I was so surprised and proud that I made it t the end ! Cant believe it !!!! I only do two runs a week due to my age and knees , but I'm sure we will all get there in the end

I’m on Week 6, hoping to do Run 2 tomorrow. Weather, Ill child and her 9th birthday at the weekend are making it hard to figure out when to run!!

To my utter astonishment, I've done week 5 this past week. That really wasn't in the plan, so I'm extra pleased - and I think that maybe the fact that each time I've expected to be doing an earlier week with one of my daughters has helped me not build up the worries in my mind the way I have in the past. It's been a good week though! :)

My attempts at week 9 have been scuppered. At the weekend I had sciatic pain so thought best to avoid aggravating anything.

Since Monday I’ve been working nights and had to walk an hour home from work this morning in the snow. So no week 9 for me yet. Itching to get back out and finish! Safety first though :)
