What is your week - week 3⚡️

Hi there and welcome to, What is your Week ? February (3)

I don’t know about you, but I am loving being able to go out in near daylight. I have become very fed up of running in darkness!!Hopefully, lots of you will be joining in with this; it is a great support to everyone.

The idea of, "What is your Week" ?

Every week we are going to put up a post, so you can add in a little post underneath, to say what week you are planning to do this week.

Sample post (feel free to put as much or as little as you like):

“Hi Im Ju-Ju and this week, I am doing the dreaded week 5 run 3... help!, any tips guys? ”

We are growing so much at the moment and we wanted to have a little fun post ,so we can see who is on what week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.

Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.

At the end of the month there will be a Certificate for you to download and keep; just a little memento of the fact you have completed a whole month of the program. Another full month of running for you.

If you have just graduated, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, there is always the Quest on the Bridge to 10k forum as well for graduates.

I will add all the names from this week under this post. Every week for the month of February the names will roll over into another post.

Let's get a good list going so we can support each other.

(Come on you lurkers, you can do it as well. ?)

Happy Panthering

Ju-Ju x

Hi. W5R3 due tomorrow. Had never run before starting the programme and finish every run with a surprised and happy grin on my face. Am trying not to overthink the 20 mins but so many helpful and supportive comments here from people in the same boat.

I'm just starting week 4. Feeling great about my running progress! At the end of week 3 I felt like I could just keep on running. So I added on an extra 1.5 minutes, and then a 2km warm down. I'm coming down with a pesky cold though, and I'm terrified that it will keep me down and I'll miss some runs. I'm so addicted to this already. It feels great to be accomplishing goals each week and getting fit.

I’m doing week 4 (still!) - although I’ve already done the first two runs, DD2 hasn’t been running with me for the past 10 days, so has asked me not to move on to week 5 without her. So I’ll do r3 tomorrow evening without her as she’s away for a couple of days with school, then we’ll (hopefully) do two more w4 runs together...

And DD1 took herself off for a run/walk yesterday and covered 7km in a bit over an hour. She’s keen to do a local 10k in May, so I’ve pointed out that she does need to get running regularly... I offered to run with her but she politely declined as running is her alone time. To be fair, if that works for her, I’m all for it! I know the importance of my running as My Time too!

Did first run of week 8 today. Change of scenery - ran along canal tow path in maesbury Shropshire with my friend who is training for half marathon. Was worried that I would slow her down (I know I did!) but she was fab and it was great to have some company. Lovely run. Graduation in my sights now!

I’m on Week 2, need to do run 3 today! Have done the previous 5 runs since last Wednesday but am going to take it slower now as I was sooo tired yesterday, no running, just a couple of brisk walks.

I’ve just completed w3, I defo am finding recovery a lot quicker, tho my legs were feeling it after the run tonight. It’s been half term and been here, there and everywhere!! I haven’t ventured outside yet running because of child care issues so feel a bit of a cheat!!
