Welcome to the first week of March’s what is your week. I hope the snow is clearing for you now and all the roads are safer to run on.
The idea of, "What is your Week" ?
Every week we are going to put up a post, so you can add in a little post underneath, to say what week you are planning to do this week.
Sample post (feel free to put as much or as little as you like):
“Hi Im Ju-Ju and this week, I am doing the dreaded week 5 run 3... help!, any tips guys? ”
We are growing so much at the moment and we wanted to have a little fun post ,so we can see who is on what week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.
Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.
At the end of the month there will be a Certificate for you to download and keep; just a little memento of the fact you have completed a whole month of the program. Another full month of running for you.
If you have just graduated, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, there is always the Quest on the Bridge to 10k forum as well for graduates.
I will add all the names from this week under this post. Every week for the month of February the names will roll over into another post.
Let's get a good list going so we can support each other.
(Come on you lurkers, you can do it as well. ?)

Good morning, I have to travel up North for a boring meeting today. Already looking forward to getting back home and running R1W7!!!!!!
Hiya.. Yesterday I managed to get out & start week 7. (Last week should have been week 7 but snow stopped play!). I had been so anxious that I would have forgotten how to run, that it had all been some kind of fluke, but amazingly, even in the snow, it felt great to be back out there, & my run was good! (Very slow...but oh so good to be doing it!). It is still snowing here (in Fife) today, but finally the paths are being cleared, so hopefully my remaining runs this week will be easier to manage & no more missed days for me.... Thank you, everyone, for all the awesome advice you have given within this forum, I have been an avid reader over these past weeks and have put much of it to good use, with good results!
Did i mention I can run for 25 mins???....Yay!!!!!
Had an enforced week off due to snow but have started early today with W6R1. Hoping to do the other 2 runs this week, but a bit daunted about the idea of 25 minutes non-stop!
Hi. Completed W7R1 yesterday and it's the closest i've come to stopping yet (desperately waiting for the app to cut in and tell me i was nearly done). I've been lucky and have managed to get runs in throughout the bad weather so I couldn't understand what the problem was until i checked my tracker afterwards. Too fast! Shouldn't have been a surprise I suppose but i had managed W6R3 at a consistent pace with enough left to push for the final minute so i thought I had pace sorted.
Managed not to hurt myself so it's run 2 tomorrow morning with a plan to check my pace on the tracker once or twice and slow down. I genuinely thought i was going at my usual pace last time out (if not a bit slower as the slush in places was hard going) so interested to know how everyone else manages this?
Welcome on board your name has been added. We all have runs like that. sometimes you just start off too excited and your pace is faster than usual. It is all a learning curve and as you progress you will be dong it deliberately
WK3 R1 completed! Honestly when I got out of bed at 0600 this morning I didn’t think I’d manage it as the last run I did was a week ago, thanks to the #beastfromtheeast BUT I did it! If anyone had seen me they would have seen me with my arms aloft like that scene from Rocky 😀 W3R2 scheduled for Wednesday, fingers crossed no more snow
I can’t quite believe it, but I’ll be finishing week 6 next time round (unless a child comes with me!). The 20 mins in week 5 was fine, but I have a real mental block about the 25 mins. Maybe because the 30 seems close and I’m scared that the end is in sight? I’ve felt like this every time I’ve got through the programme before, and I’ve graduated three times (I think!) so far, so I do know it’s a mind thing...
Welcome on board your name has been added. Think of it as 20 min and a faster warm down. That way it might help with the mental side. You will be fine have confidence in yourself
Week 3 for me. Run 3 tomorrow. Love seeing others at the same stage, it’s so motivating and supportive! Great to feel we are all moving along the road together!🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️
Just finished W6! Can’t quite believe I ran for 25minutes and finished on an uphill slope, very slowly though! Feel tired but a lot more positive than when I went out to start the run!!! H x
