Well hello my lovely running family, I have missed not being able to run over the last 2 months, nearly 2 months bar one day (December 19th) I last ran. Yesterday I thought no matter what the weather is like Sunday, I'm going to get up and run, how well I'm going to do is another matter, but I'm going to start again. So I gathered my clothing, matching bra with top and my new black/orange trainers, set them on a little pile on the floor in my bedroom, together with my running gloves pending the weather conditions for Sunday and toddled off into bed.

So, Sunday was here and having planned my route, I set off on my way. I walked for my first 15 minutes and then began my slow jog. I could feel myself getting out of puff, but it wasn't so much the out of puff, but the aching legs that caused me to stop and start several times. This was a totally different route too, but a nice long route and a good one for both running and walking. I couldn't do a complete full run without walking in between, but this was a start and I thoroughly enjoyed my time out away from the stresses etc.

I took few pics on the way of a couple of these sheep in the field, they were all giving me an odd look but that's understandable, lol.....

I returned on a route that I did my podcast on, so that was nice and familiar. As much as it was drizzling, I felt warm and contented and even though I've slacked lately, I know I can do this and I know I can do one of the stamina podcasts together with going over a couple of the weeks of the C25K. Such a powerful, well thought out programme, one that newbies and others alike even us graduates, can pick up whenever in our running lives.

I wore a pair of Karrimor running thin leggings for the first time that I bought last year and they are so comfy, really felt like a second skin.

All newbies to running, don't give up, keep going, push yourself a little harder each time you go out, but take it steady, that's the important bit, there is no rush or race, this is for you, your mind and body and taking it steady equals satisfaction each time. Hey, I've done it and that's proof enough xx πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—πŸ‘
