Week 6

Hi all, I’ve just found this group. I’ve got to week 6 - run 3 tomorrow. Sort of dreading it. I am no runner - in fact my Hubbie reckons he walks as fast as I run. I have never run for this length of time before but I am determined to complete C25K it’s my new year challenge.

Go you! And it really doesn’t matter about speed... it’s about running and enjoying it (and enjoying the lovely high you get afterwards)

As long as two feet are off the ground at the same time... you’re running!👍 hope you continue to enjoy your journey🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

You can do this. This forum is amazingly supportive. Maybe ignore your husband.....

Take this at your own pace... :) Your journey... your way :)

Slow and steady gets great results:)

Mo Farah can run 10k in the time it takes me to run 5k ( on a very good day)..............he is a runner, I am a runner and you are a runner.

The guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... may be helpful to you. Read the bit about motivation.

C25K is for life, not just the first few months of the year.

Welcome and well done. You need to tell your hubby that there is a lot of research showing that slow running is really good for us-in fact better than fast running! I only run a whisker faster than walking pace but I absolutely love it. Faster pace will develop later with experience- but it doesn't matter. 😄
