Feeling good after finishing the first run of week 5, but when I looked at the next run I was a tad worried then looking at the third run I felt sick! 20 minutes!! Really??
I hope you are all doing great on your runs! 👍😊

Anticipation not apprehension... you are ready for this... slow and steady is the way
Hi MrsH, many people feel daunted by W5, but the program is very well designed and you really will be ready for this week. Your legs can do it - they just need to prove it to your brain now! I am looking forward to you posting your success! 😄
It's quite the surprise when you first see that, but you've done all the hard work in the previous weeks. You'll be just fine. Happy running.
I felt exactly the same but took the advice to put my faith in the programme. It had already worked wonders for me in weeks 1 to 4 so I decided to trust it for week 5. Honestly, it’s all about the mind rather than the body by this stage. Our minds - some of us anyway - easily default to thinking we won’t be able to do it but unless you’re unlucky enough to injure yourself, actually you can. Wishing you well.
Yes, it’s true what they say - seems impossible on paper and then...it becomes perfectly possible and, in my case, it dawns on you that the tortoise-like incremental training occasionally helps you make what seem like great leaps forward. Go slow, that’s all.
You’ll do it! I actually found continuous running easier than all that stopping and starting. As others have told you, just make sure you run really, really slowly.
