Hello!

well done on first days make sure you leave a day in-between runs its really important to recover as you move along x Also you may not loose weight but gain muscle and change shape but feel amazing and healthier in life so don't be disappointed if you turn toned not slim. I think that comes when you are running at least 30 mins 3 times a week xx

Hi Tibbz and welcome to the forum. Well done on starting the c25k program it really works and is fun...

The program is designed to gradually build up your stamina and by the end you will be able to run for 30 mins. You should take at least one days rest between doing your run sessions for your body to strenghen and repair. You can do another form of non-impact exercise on your 'rest' day. Always do some stretches after your warm down walk to help with stiffness.

There is a guide to doing the program here which you may find interesting..

Good luck with W1 R3😊

Good for you. I took up cycling in April and running in Dec. I've lost 19lb since last Jan. Just keep being healthy and the weight loss will happen "organically" 😂👍😁

Have a look on Google maps and see where a five minute walk might get you. Is there a park or a canal or anything like that? Do you see other people running in your area?

The only tip is to trust the programme. If you've completed a run then you are ready for the next one. Keeping it up shouldn't be a problem--you'll find after a while you really want to do the next run.

What's hard to appreciate at the beginning is how your body changes and responds to what you are asking it to do. You don't know what you are capable of. It's a fascinating journey.

Hi there Not sure why you’re not confident to walk or run on your own, other than you’re in a new area. Doing the programme would be an excellent way to navigate your way around your new place and find all the footpaths etc.

I am on WW, have been at goal for over 8 years. I love Flex and have done really well on it. No Count is fine though, just download the food list if you do try it though 👍

Stick with the programmes. healthy eating and more exercise are good companions 👍🏃‍♀️

Take the advice of Bluebirdrunner .. read the link through...there is so much tried and tested advice there.

You can check out routes on Mapometer UK in your area... ask around too, maybe in the local library...

Our sister site Weight Loss..is also worth a peek, many of the folk on here are on there also and find it works really well:)
