Not the most pleasant of runs with the icy rain on my face, hands and ankles... but, another one ticked off and very happy with that. Happy Saturday people, I hope someone is running in the dry🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Well done Liz, a lot of us struggle with W6R1, I know did. I thought it’d be a stroll in the park after W5R3......wrong!😬

Enjoy the rest of your week, the podium is in sight now 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Thanks Ted, my step daughter graduated last week and did her first parkrun today... She's spurring me on too x

Indeed!😡.... How are you getting on?? X

Ok - found yesterday a challenge, but stats said I done 5.1 k and slightly faster pace (fractional). Got a busy week ahead workwise and wondering how I’m going to fit it all in. I don’t always find long run pleasurable so far - but maybe because it’s hard. Basically feeling wingey! 😣

You’re not whingey!... just think what we’re “putting our bodies through” compared to a few weeks ago.... it’s our body’s going: “stop!”🤣🤣Haha!

We’re doing SO well... we’re allowed some slower days/times.

It is so hard fitting it all in isn’t it? Don’t get me wrong, I’m absolutely loving it, and loving all the positives I’m getting from it, but yeah... life gets in the way.

Still, onwards and upwards to a good week for us both eh?.. I’m not running til Thursday now. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

I know you’re right. Ache in sacroiliac and pain up groin - pubic symphysis just add to the joys of running 🏃‍♀️😅 - appreciate your encouragement and I’m sure next one will be better 🙏

Ah the sneaky week6 run1! Well done, and in the rain as well x

Rain on the face, oh that winds me up no end. Everywhere else can get drenched, but having to constantly wipe your top lip drives me batty! :D I'm assuming you've thought of this already, but if not a cap does make a big difference to the weather attacking the face situation. I'll doff the aforementioned cap here for getting through it despite the weather! :)

Yeah, I though about a cap, but I get so hot when I run I thought I Might explode with a hat on!!??.. think I will have to try that next time tho😜👍

I get hot when I run and I'm wearing terrifying little for running in Scotland in winter, yet I always wear the cap. So hopefully we're similar in temperature and it could work for you too? It's a Decathlon one so it's not like normal baseball cap material, and it has a ventilation band - makes it much cooler.

Ooh that's interesting to know.... About to google runners hats✅ thankyou! X

No probs, mine is the £4.99 one on Decathlon's site. I'm basically a walking (wait hang on, no, RUNNING :O ) advertisement for that company. Wanted stuff fit for purpose but not break the bank. All the active people in my life were baffled I'd never heard of them before I started Couch to 5K. I mean it's not like they have giant stores on retail parks where ever there's an IKEA. Oh, wait... :D

Just you wait til summer, you will crave the rain and the cold!! Lol! You can always put more clothes on, you can't always take more off...

You are doing brilliantly; looking forward to you moaning about the heat!!

well done. I managed the W5R3 yesterday whilst at my aged mothers. Have found an added benefit of running that it enables me to have a much more relaxed weekend with her! My running is incomprehensible to her!
