Half way through the C25k adaption programme for the third time.

It has taken me 22 months since I took up running to stop beating myself up and go with the flow and find something that can work for me.Something that allows me to take long gardening breaks and interrupted non running periods.

Yes an odd ball I know but the answer for me is just make use of the basic building programme.

Because I am less of a novice now I am going to bolt on to the programme 4x30 second intervals for each C25k run, for the remaining 13 runs, which I will do after the 5min recovery walk and finally followed with my static stretching routine.

That way my repair days are respected with one little exception of a 200m Gallop or Canter pace test on a Sat/Sun.

I previously tested myself with a high risk 2x6k per day for a month and I did not build up to it sufficiently, an overuse injury was the obvious result, but HeyHo at 76 I am wiser for it.Love being in better tune with limits for a given point in time and having the improved understanding by being more calm and chilled and taking the repair I require before getting out there again.

What a gift this running malarkey is.

Find your balance and have the patience to enjoy your journey.

Go the magic forum.

Good to hear from you Tbae, you are doing very well indeed on your third time doing the C25K course, nice photo, you are on the extreme left, nice family gathering. 😊

This morning I ran a short 3K in a time of 19.41, this Saturday I will be running my 8th parkrun.
