Well, I did it! I feel like an actual runner! I’m not gonna lie, the last 5 or so minutes were tough on the lungs (even running slowly) but the first ten minutes flew by!😁

Just out of curiosity, why the big jump to 20 minutes then back down to 8 minutes in W6? I know there must be a reason so just curious to know what it is.

I know there’s quite a few of us around the w5r3 stage at the moment, so I hope everyone has enjoyed it?

It was quite funny as I did my laces up this morning I could hear myself talking through all the advice we read on here:

β€œMake sure you go slow Liz”

β€œMake sure you don’t stop β€œLiz”

β€œIf it goes badly, it can just be a practice run Liz”

β€œMake sure you’re enjoying it Liz”

.... it was quite a relief to get out there and stop thinking about it!🀣

Thankyou everyone for your encouragement thus far.... bring on W6!πŸ‘

Well done on getting past what a lot of people see as a significant hurdle. With regards to your question, wk6r1 is actually 24 mins if you count the breaks. The trick with the run that you just did is that it's actually easier not to stop, and many people find wk6r1 harder because of the breaks. It's a head $%^& I know as your often dying for the run to end and the walk to start.. but it's the truth.. honest. :)

Brilliant - there is obviously some science to it and actually it’s ideal for me as it gives my back time to settle - like you would like to know the ins and outs! But well done though πŸ‘

Oh you are HOOKED now Lily :) An "actual runner" you are!

Only runners would be asking "why only 8 minutes" and not fervently announcing "Thank the Deity! I only have to run 8 minutes next time!! Whoo hoo!!☺"

Well done Actual Runner! :)
