For some reason my head has gone! Wk 7 25min run. Managed it the first time. Legs like lead second time and walked a middle section. Managed it third time. Figured I should do it again before moving on to Wk 8 and ended up walking twice. Aimed to go out and conquer this morning but was up half the night with the burglar alarm letting me know every 20secs that we had a power cut 🤯 not sure I’d have the energy to walk 25mins let alone run.
Tomorrow is a new day....

Well done for your perseverance!! Don't be hard on yourself. Perhaps try to get another rest day: 2 days in-between runs can help. And try to start very slow, if you feel so tense, you won't make it. So relax, and go slow and steady, enjoy yourself.
I struggled with run 2 of week 7 yesterday even though run 1 went really well...i had a terrible sleep the night before & i really think it impacts more than we realise!!!fingers crossed for next time 😊
I found week 7 hard and found I need at least two days, usually longer, to recover after these longer runs. I’d never run after a night like that, why would you? I graduated yesterday with Jo Wiley and the Rocky theme tune in my ears. I can’t say how good it felt. Don’t give up, what you're doing is bloody amazing!
Don’t beat yourself up over this... I’ve read on here many times that bad runs happen (sometimes more than once) with no rhyme or reason. Just give yourself the best chance of being successful next time: good food and plenty of water on the day, and the day before, and a good nights sleep. Good luck for the next one! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
After x3 kids lots of water pre-run is NEVER a good idea! 😮🤣 part of the reason why early morning runs work well for me and yes, good food & sleep really do make a difference don’t they! Never realised quite how much before running
Next run will be fine Those difficult runs can knock your confidence, but they often happen when your body thinks, hang on, what's all this about, puts in a stumble, then gathers itself to move forward and up another level.
Don’t beat yourself up Blew, we all have the odd bad run.
I must point out however, a lot of negative thoughts can go through your mind. Your breathing will be good but your head is screaming for your legs to stop, it’s getting past this and building up the mental stamina that can be difficult.
Good luck with rest of the programme, you’ve done brilliantly to get this far, the podium awaits in 2 weeks 😊🏃♀️🏃♀️
