Hi there Italianwifey ....so sorry to hear of your difficult times but glad you’ve decided to carry on...it’s for the best! If I were you & im def no expert,, but i’d prob try week 3 or 4 just to see where you’re at....if it’s tough, go back to the beginning....but you might surprise yourself....let us know

Thanks, I think I will have a go at w3 - not sure I could face starting from w1 although may feel different once I get out and do it.

Why not go out with the intention to do week 5 and see where that takes you? Some decent length intervals to get you back into the swing then a longer run to test you.

You will be the best judge of your own fitness but I doubt that you will have to start at week 1 again.

Well done getting back out again. Running allows your mind to wander and is great for mind and body.

Hi, I only graduated in Nov and got injured in Dec, so had 4 weeks of no running. I started back with week 5 - it is amazing how quickly you can loose the fitness. Good luck to you getting back out there😀

I'd suggest, do one run of each week 1, 2, 3, and then do week 4. Just to gebtle going back to running. Probably yoir stamina will be good enough to jump in to week 3 or 4 stsight away. However, bones and ligaments may use some extra time to gently increase impact.

I'd say depends on your overall activity and problems (or hopefully lack o them) with joints, bones, or muscles.

The most important part is go out there, enjoy fresh air (if you run outside), and overlap everyone on the couch ;) No rush, you'll get there. Slow and steady! Injury free!

Happy running!
